Our History

Midwest Construction Professionals operates as a corporation, established through an equal partnership among Chris Tyra, Tim Braker, and Brad Braker. Its inception in June 2014 followed the acquisition of the building construction division from Midwest Foundation Corporation in Tremont, IL. Chris initiated the building construction division at Midwest Foundation Corp. in July 2012, leveraging over fifteen years of experience as a construction manager, overseeing projects exceeding $200 million. The trio of owners at Midwest Construction Professionals brings substantial expertise to the construction industry. While MCP doesn’t have specialized divisions, Tim and Brad Braker also own JJ Braker, a prominent masonry subcontractor in Morton, Illinois, with a legacy spanning over 50 years. Strategically, Midwest Construction Professionals has developed a firm focused on delivering construction management services across central Illinois, expanding its reach statewide and beyond. In November 2017, Midwest Construction Professionals achieved Tier 1 Construction Manager status through the Capital Development Board. This designation empowers MCP to serve as a Construction Manager for CDB projects ranging from $1 million to $15 million. Paramount to our operations is a steadfast commitment to client satisfaction, making it the primary focus on all our projects.
